This strange, perplexing and extremely testing time, has shown the vulnerability of our community and society but also its most committed, supportive and responsible side.

We are accustomed to socialising, going out and enjoying ourselves,  but the world,  has understood that now it’s time to stay home, so let’s do our part by taking a break, curl up on some outdoor custom furniture put the hand breaks on, take care of ourselves, our loved ones and our community.

No one is indifferent to the effects of this pandemic and neither are we at Shape of Wicker.  Over the last few weeks practically every country in the world and every state in America has first established recommendations, then restrictions and finally prohibitions.  Let’s collectively stop the spread of the virus.   We in America are now being advised to wear masks when we go out.

When we do need to get out and about to our preferred grocery shop; please do not,  for the sake of our food, fruit and vegetables, for the sake of employees and for our own sake, go out bare-faced.  There is no excuse. Let’s help to flatten the curve in Collier County and beyond.  Wear a mask.

Facing these challenges, our tiny team which is now working remotely, has compiled a Shape of Wicker Mask collection which is now available.  We are sewing up a storm and getting ready just for you!

Much like our bespoke outdoor furniture at Shape of Wicker, we are focusing on delivering protection masks that are beautifully crafted and stitched to perfection.  We want to bring pleasure and comfort to all.  We hope that an injection of colour and fun shaped masks,  passing by whilst out on our permitted “once a day” chore, walk or shop will give delight and guidance to the bare faces around us.

We are offering hand-made comfortable, thoughtfully put together, colourful and uniquely stitched masks, that are wild in style, one size fits all and sustainably delivered.  Note: They are not intended for hospital care units.  They are NOT N95 compliant.  These are for private use and should be used following government guidelines and MUST be washed after each use.   They must fit snuggly around the mouth and nose, so nothing alien can make its way in, or more importantly, out! They need to be inserted into a paper bag and washed after each use and laid in the sun _ Just as outdoor “Sunbrella” fabric is intended to be used. The materials and fabric used are all new and high end, with a high thread count, already in stock and remnants of our outdoor furniture projects. An inner lining (oh la la so soft) is made of rayon or cotton of your choice. All fabrics being used are re-purposed,  (making sure our wastage always stays low) the masks can be re-cycled, washed and worn again and again. We can tailor make your mask for you, any colour, and shape to any specifications at an extra charge, for expeditious dispatch just send us your preferred primary colours and we will endeavour to meet your expectations or simply allow us to SURPRISE YOU.

What’s more we are offering free carbon-neutral courier ie; our healthy and responsible teenagers will deliver on the day, in and around Naples, YES we will pedal your protective mask to your front door, so you don’t have to go ANYWHERE.  We are combining our stitching effort with a bicycle culture to keep our kids fit and busy in the belief that businesses should all give back to the environment and community as a moral obligation, so we have made a commitment to help people stay safe, love their neighbour by wearing a mask and helping make a splash of colour to cheer us all up.

For each hand-made mask that is purchased at $19.99 we will donate 10% to those in need during this testing time to “The Collier Comes Together Fund”.
